Queensland Cotton provides employees a safe, supportive, industrial working environment. We currently seek expressions of interest from reliable, hard-working individuals to work at our Wee Waa Cotton Gin (processing facility) during the cotton ginning season.
The season is likely to commence mid-April and is anticipated to run through to end of July depending on weather conditions and operational requirements.
Successful applicants must be flexible with availability. The operations likely run a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week roster. Shifts will be 7am-7pm, or 7pm-7am. You will likely work 6-8 days on followed by 2 days off. Pay is in accordance with the Award where penalty rates and shift work premiums apply.
Positions available include: Bag/Press Operators, Plant Cleaners, Grablift/Moonbuggy Operators, Forklift and Truck Drivers.
Heavy vehicle/fork lift license and machinery/mobile equipment operation experience will be highly regarded and essential for some roles. A full site induction and training is provided.
In 2022 Queensland Cotton will operate cotton processing gins throughout Central QLD, Darling Downs, South West QLD and Regional NSW. Separate applications are required for each location.
You must have the right to work in Australia without restriction and be confident of passing the company's pre-employment medical and drug screen.
